I am going to speculate now on Ireland for a minute or two. Is there a case to be alarmed about a new housing bubble in Ireland?
I was online looking at the property market you would be lucky to find things over 150k these days, thus is the next generation been priced out the market?
Will this be a quick solve? I doubt and rent is another worry, you scan the net, and hardly any places are up for rent as well. I feel and speculate the next generation will be priced out of both the rental and buyers market, and we could see a soar in homelessness.
Plus, the added effects on people’s mental health with regard to not being able to find a home will be there as well. Along with fixing the housing crisis, we will need to systematically look at the health care issues going into the future.
This won’t be a fast fix. It will take time, and for some time, people don’t have.
